Not Scanning /Intermittent Scanning

  1. Ensure targeted barcode is shaded from external lights sources before scanning.
  • May use hand to decrease the amount of light.
  1. Ensure barcode scanner button is being pressed firmly while aiming at the desired barcode.
  2. Check barcode scanner wire:
  • Secure cord tightly
  • Check for damage fringes
  1. Power Reset EDSQ:
  • Turn off power switch located below the bill acceptor, wait ten (10) seconds and then turn it back on.
  1. Wait for the EDSQ to completely reboot.
  2. Test barcode scanner
