Reader Troubleshooting

1. Verify playslip is filled out correctly and is front facing when inserted into the reader.

   • Advise customer to fill out another playslip, if needed.

2. To troubleshoot the Image Reader, press down on the gray bar and pull towards you, then press down on the green triangle and pull towards you.

3. Clean lens.

   • Use isopropyl alcohol or non-ammonia-based glass cleaner.

   • Never use a dry cloth.

   • Never spray cleaner directly into or on the reader. Spray onto a cloth and wipe the reader to clean it. 
     
     

4. Wipe rollers.

   • Use soft - dry cloth (paper towels are fine).

5. Close reader and ensure rear and internal Aladdin doors (if present) are closed.

6. Power reset terminal by toggling the ON/OFF switch located on the back.

Note: if reader runs constantly, leave reader door open when terminal is not in use, so it does not continue to run.
