Ensure targeted barcode is shaded from external light sources before scanning.

Ensure barcode scanner button is being pressed firmly while aiming at the desired barcode.

Check barcode scanner wire:

Secure cord tightly.

Check for damage or frayed wire.

Power Reset EDSQ:
-
Turn off power switch located below the bill acceptor.
-
Wait ten (10) seconds and then turn it back on.
-
Wait for the EDSQ to completely reboot.

Test barcode scanner.
