Jammed - Does Not Accept Bills

  1. Unlock and open EDSQ door.

  2. Enter password.

  3. Use bill acceptor access key to open bill acceptor compartment.

  4. Remove cash box.

    • Push down on blue or black release button behind cash box.

  5. Slide cash box toward the inside of the machine to disengage.

    • Lift out to remove.

  6. Set cash box down in open area above bill acceptor.

  7. Remove any jams that are visible.

  8. Carefully remove bill acceptor head:

    • Push brass or silver metal rod toward inside of EDSQ.

    • Lift out the head.

    • This will cause rollers and belt to cycle.

  9. Clean bill acceptor head using a soft, lint free cloth.

  10. Gently snap bill acceptor head back in place.

  11. Place cash box back onto bill acceptor assembly.

  12. Push toward outside of machine to lock in place.

  13. If removing cash from cash box, remember to run Shift Report.

  14. The bill acceptor assembly cycles.

  15. Close and lock bill acceptor compartment.

  16. Reset EDSQ using power switch.

    • This is located below bill acceptor access door.

  17. Test bill acceptor.

Incorrect Credit

  1. Push plus (+) key until Options appears.

  2. Press Enter.

  3. Push plus (+) key until Clear Credit appears.

  4. Press Enter.

  5. Reset EDSQ using ON/OFF switch.

    • This is located beneath the bill acceptor access door.

  6. Test Bill Acceptor.

Testing the Bill Acceptor

  1. Go to Select Bin on menu.

  2. Press + or - to scroll to Options.

  3. Press Enter/Yes.

  4. Press + or – to scroll to Test Bill Acceptor.

  5. Press Enter/Yes.

  6. Insert Test Bill.

  7. Test each denomination.

  8. After bill is inserted into the ITVM, it will register denomination amount and give back the bill.

  9. If it does not recognize the bill, it will say Unknown bill.
