• The sale of a Ticket to a minor may subject Retailer to criminal prosecution.

• It is Hoosier Lottery policy that clerks must be 18 years or older to sell lottery tickets.

How to check a License 

If you suspect a minor is trying to purchase or cash in lottery tickets or if you witness adults sharing lottery tickets with a minor:

• Ask for ID and use the “Born By” date on the terminal
  
• Explain that it is illegal to sell lottery tickets to minors
• Utilize the Hoosier Lottery-provided key fob device to shut down self-service vending machines
